Introduction
|
The interrelations of the cybertrack clips that are arranged in the composition editor are crucial for
the musical syntax of a composition.
This section exposes the practical framework on how clips can be organized. The musical counterpoint itself is an outcome of the appliance of those methods to the musical content of the underlying cybertracks. |
Overlapping
|
The "Overlapping" category defines how each clip follows its predecessor.

Dynamics
|
The "Dynamics" category defines which volume will apply to a cybertrack citation and how this volume will change over the time. |

Selections
|
The "Selections" category defines the degree of musical similarity across the neighbored cybertrack clips. Clips can be taken from the same, a similar or a totally different cybertrack. It is also important which kind of differences are appearing within a cybertrack itself (see Melodic Scale). |

Counterpoint Relations
|
Musical counterpoint is effective on different levels and depends also on perceptual conditions.
|
Internal Counterpoint "Internal Counterpoint" are counterpoint relations that appear in the structure of a cybertrack itself. |
External Counterpoint "External Counterpoint" are counterpoint relations that appear between clips of cybertracks. |
Virtual Voices Certain structures and structure combinations produce "Virtual Voices" as an additional outcome of logical musical relationship within or across cybertracks. |
Context Modulation The effect of a certain musical element changes with its musical context. For example, the experience of a sound contrast will be transformed into an experience of similarity when adding another contrast that is much stronger. The same cybertrack may establish a counterpoint relation with a second one, while creating a homogeneous field with a third cybertrack. |
